Arrival Details

Riverbend Cabin Retreat is a thoughtfully designed, family-friendly log cabin created for comfort, rest, and making memories—indoors and out. Below you’ll find everything the cabin offers to help you plan your stay.

  • Parking:

    • Multiple vehicles can park comfortably

    • The property offers year-round access, with a driveway located off a private road that is well maintained throughout all seasons, including regular snowplowing during the winter months.

  • Check-in / Check-out:

    • 3pm check-in

    • 11am check-out

    • Code provided for cabin access in advance of stay

  • Three-bedroom log cabin that sleeps up to 8+ guests comfortably

    • Main floor bedroom (sleeps 2):

      • Queen bed (firm mattress)

    • Upstairs Bedroom 1 (sleeps 3) :

      • Queen bed (soft mattress)

      • Extra-large twin bunk (memory foam firm mattress)

    • Upstairs Bedroom 2 (sleeps 3):

      • Two extra-large twin beds (memory foam firm mattress)

      • One extra-large twin bunk (memory foam firm mattress)

  • Additional sleeping options:

    • Large camping cot & air mattresses available

    • Playpen available

  • Playroom upstairs can be used as an additional sleeping space if required

  • All mattresses have a fitted mattress protector. Bring your own sheets, pillows and blankets, OR for an additional fee of $150 per stay, choose our optional linen service which includes freshly laundered sheets, pillows and blankets prepared prior to your arrival—so you can travel lighter and settle in right away!

Sleeping Arrangements

  • An RV trailer is available on the property for accommodating additional guests for an additional fee of $250 per stay.

  • Sleeps up to 5+ guests and features a double bed, a pull-out couch, and two single bunk-style beds.

  • The trailer includes a kitchen equipped with a variety of utensils and essential cooking supplies, and contains a small fridge, freezer, stove, and microwave, as well as a small outdoor bbq and outdoor coleman stove.

  • The trailer is conveniently located near an outhouse. Water is hooked up to the trailer for general usage, however, the interior bathroom toilet is not available for use.

  • Trailer contains both heat and air conditioning if needed.

  • One full bathroom with stand-up shower

  • Toilet paper provided

  • Hair dryer provided

  • Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash included

  • All cleaning supplies provided, including garbage bags

  • Washer and dryer available for guest use, and laundry detergent included

  • Please note: There is no internet and very limited data/cell reception at the cabin. Cellular data quality depends on your provider, with Rogers generally offering the strongest service.The cabin experience is designed to help you step away from technology and social media, and reconnect with a slower, simpler pace of life.

Family Friendly Entertainment

  • Bon Echo Provincial Park:

    • Our complimentary season pass to Bon Echo Provincial Park is available for guest use during your stay, providing access to its stunning beaches, hiking trails, swimming areas, and other outdoor amenities.

    • Bon Echo Provincial Park is located approximately 15 minutes from the cabin, making it an easy and worthwhile day trip.

  • The river directly in front of the cabin offers a quiet, private setting for kayaking and exploring, as well as a small sandy area beside the dock. However, the river is not ideal for swimming. It is just a short paddle or boat ride to where the river opens into the larger waters of Lake Skootamatta—a lake perfect for enjoying fishing, swimming, boating, and a variety of water sports. Various crown land beaches are accessible by boat on the lake.

  • Life jackets provided in a range of adult and child sizes

  • If you’re bringing a boat or other watercraft, the Skootamatta Lake public boat launch is about an 8-minute drive from the cabin, followed by a short 5–10 minute boat ride to Riverbend Cabin Retreat.

Waterfront & Outdoor Fun

  • To help keep the cabin comfortable for all guests, we are unable to accommodate pets on the property.

  • Cleaning Expectations:

    • Full cleaning services are provided, but a light tidy-up is required prior to departure

    • All garbage and recycling must be separated and placed in the clear bags provided. Before you leave, place the bags in the designated outdoor bins.
